Annual Creek Cleanup

Each year, the City of Chico partners with the Butte Environmental Council to organize over 500 community members to remove tons of waste from Big Chico Creek and Bidwell Park. In 2019 15.6 tons of trash were collected, and since 1987, 213.4 tons of trash have been collected. See the report detailing the different types of waste removed and the report.
